Admissions

All mid-year applications (every application other than for a September Reception intake) must be made directly to the school using both the Mid-Year Application (MYA) form and a Supplementary Information Form (SIF) in case of a waiting list. The school's policies and forms can be found in the documents section below. Applications should be emailed to: admissions@lawford.essex.sch.uk.

Reception Intake

The admissions process for children starting school in Reception the following September, starts in November each year. Parents applying for a September Reception intake place must complete the online form on the Essex admissions website (or via the Suffolk process, if you live in Suffolk) and also our SIF (Supplementary Information Form). 

School tours for prospective parents of the reception intake in September 2027.

Our open evening 2027 is TBC.  There will be tours led by our year 6 pupils and a presentation by the headteacher and reception teachers (this will start at approxmately 19:30).  This will be followed by 'stay and play' sessions AM exact date and time TBC.  A chance for you and your child to spend time in the classroom together.  Please call the school office to book.

    On time Applications – when will I receive my child’s school offer?

    National offer day is xxxx

    If you made an online application during the published timescales, you will receive an email during xxxx confirming your school offer from ECC. Emails may arrive throughout the day and we will not respond to requests chasing offer emails on xxxx. You can also check online from xxxx by logging into your Essex Education Portal account.

    If you applied to ECC using a paper application form (or selected to not receive an email when you applied online), a letter will be posted inxxxx. Once the letter has been posted, the Council is not responsible for how long it takes to be delivered, as this is dependent on Royal Mail.

    Places are allocated in accordance with the school's Admission Policy.
