2D - Spring Term 2
Maths - measure
During maths this half term we have explored mass, capacity, volume and temperature. We made chocolate cakes to reinforce the importance of measuring accurately - we had lots of fun eating them too!
English - Biographies
During our English lessons, we used Artificial Intelligence (AI) on the iPads to research Nelson Mandela, and explored what good biographies needed to include before writing our own.
Art & DT
As part of our 'Africa' theme this term, we learnt how to mono print in art and created African sunsets!
During DT, we explored moving picture books and learnt how to create sliders and leavers. We then created our own moving pictures!
Spring Term

What is similar and different about life in Kenya and the UK?
During our Geography lessons we have been exploring Kenya and where it is in relation to the UK.
This term, in maths, we have been exploring money. We have learnt how to calculate money, make a pound and find change!
Autumn Term

What are the differences between life in the Polar Regions and life in the UK?
Maths - Place Value
We have been busy exploring the place value of numbers to 100. We have loved drawing on the tables to help us partition numbers!
English - Non-Chronological Report
We have been learning about how to write non-chronological reports. We are very excited to write own own!
Art - Mark Making
We have been learning how to mark make using different media, we thought about how we could express words with drawing. We have also been learning how to create texture!
